Looks: Personally, I feel it is one of the nicer looking guns out there. It has a futuristic feel to it (though not as cool as its bigger cousins, the G36 and G36K). The iron sights that come with it are easy enough to use; however, with such a long rail on top, it would be easier to just mount a red dot on it or something. Also, with the three short rails near the muzzle (one on the left, right, and bottom), you can easily mount CQB stuff on it, like a laser, vertical grip, flashlight, etc; however, be aware that the sling mount does get in the way of a 'nade launcher.
Size: Being a Compact, this gun is fairly small. With the stock out, it's about the size of an ordinary MP5A4. Stock folded, it would be perfect for CQB, as it is as small as an MP5K.
Feel: The great (or horrible) thing about the G36 is the weight. Like the real G36, this gun is made mostly of some kind of tough plastic. The gun is about the same weight as the real steel version, so, yeah. Nice weight to it.
Performance: I can't really gauge how good the performance is, since I had it upgraded pretty soon after I got it, and never played a game with it stock; but I do recall it soundly outperforming my friend's stuff, mostly UTGs and SRCs, but it did also have a large edge over a TM AK and TM M4.
I guess the only particular weakness I can really get from this gun is the battery space: it is just so dang small. A real tight fit even for the mini types. I cannot stress how difficult it can be; if you run out of juice in the middle of a game, but have a spare battery, it can take up to three minutes to change. But other than that, I love my G36C. |
